Job Opening: Occasional Morning Milker
Lost Lake Farm is a small, family-run grass-fed dairy farm and farmstead cheese operation located between Jewell and Kamrar, Iowa. We are seeking a conscientious, caring, and detail-oriented person to join our team. No experience necessary, we will train the right person. Starting ASAP.
15 hours per week, (three mornings, including Saturday morning)
$15/hour starting pay
Duties: Milk cows, clean milking parlor and milking system, bring cows to and from pasture, move temporary fences. Feed, water, and bed pigs. Potential to add hours through cleaning cheesemaking equipment and facilities.
Required qualifications: Dependability, willingness to learn, willingness to work in all weather, patient demeanor around animals, ability to walk at least one mile in rough terrain, ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
